Anne Chaplinsky, age 95 at a longtime resident of Madison Heights, Michigan died Monday in her home surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born February 11, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Jacob Ziarko and the late Catherine (nee: Waz) Ziarko.

Anne was raised on the Detroit-Hamtramck border, to a loving Polish Catholic family. Growing up she had many fond memories of Detroit and all that it had to offer. She eventually married and began a family. Over the years Anne became the consummate homemaker raising her children.

Anne was a woman who enjoyed taking care of her family, along with caring for her home and tending to her rose bushes outside. She had a passion for reading and also watching Detroit Tiger baseball, along with watching the Lions. She favored baseball because of her sons playing as young men. Later in life, she favored visiting the casinos along with visiting the different historic Catholic churches. Quiet time for Anne was usually spent watching her TV shows and shows that featured Heaven and Angels.

Anne Chaplinsky was the beloved wife of the late Edward Chaplinsky and former wife of the late John Nastulski. She was the dear mother of Sharon (Walter) Jankowski, Jim (Mindy) Nastulski, Robert (Carol) Nastulski, Edward Chaplinsky, Thomas (Stephanie) Chaplinsky, the late Marcia Nastulski, and the late Nancy (Jim) Taros. Mrs. Chaplinsky is further survived by her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild. She was also predeceased by all her siblings.

Mrs. Chaplinsky will lie in state Wednesday, November 29th, 2017, 9:30am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 28353 Herbert Street in Madison Heights. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. John Esper.
