Daniel Thomas Elle, age 67 of Center Line, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at home with his loved ones by his side. He was born July 12, 1951 in Detroit, son of Shirley Lillian (nee: Koss) Elle, and the late Robert Thomas Elle.

As an Industrial Electrician, the responsibilities and demands on Daniel were often intense in getting the jobs done and staying safe in the process. So when time away from the job presented itself, Daniel had a number of pastimes that he enjoyed in balancing it all out. Primarily, they were all enveloped in the realm of sports,…some of which he watched on television, and others in which he participated. Like many guys, Daniel was an excellent armchair quarterback, referee and umpire, and could be entertained for hours with his Sportsapalooza.

As for exercising his sporting prowess, he loved both bowling and golf and the camaraderie shared in each of the games. Whether on a sunny day with a buddy or two chasing that little white ball around in search of a Hole-in-One,…or joining his league partners around the alleys in hopes of achieving that elusive 300 game, Daniel never grew tired of the competitive nature of both, nor of the pleasures in the friendships shared while challenging each other for the win.

Daniel was also known for his incredible skills in fishing, and the tasty morsels he'd often lug home from a successful day of angling. Whether he was on the ice, on the dock, on the shore, or in a boat,…just give 'em a rod & reel, then step back and watch the magic unfold as he was like Mort Neff out in the wild. And of all the little fishies that made their way to his dinner table, none could match the magnificence of those prize-winning perch & walleye he always netted. You can just hear Ol' Andy Griffith goin'…"Mmmm Good!"

And last but not least would be the sport he loved that earned him a championship recognition, the centuries-old game of billiards. Played by both king's and commoner's alike, Daniel seemed to have a magical cue that helped him sweep the table and take no prisoners. Whether with a friend or in competitive play, there was just simple joy for Daniel in picking up his cue and clearing the table,…one ball at a time. But that joy turned to extreme jubilation the day his skills earned him a trophy as the Billiards Champion of the Center Line Parks & Recreation. It was a momentous day for Daniel,…doing something that he loved.

Daniel was the beloved son of Shirley, and the late Robert Elle. Dearest brother of Daryl (Sharon) Elle, Dale (Alisa) Elle, Dana Elle, and Darin Elle. Loving uncle of Christopher, Autumn and Robert. He also leaves his best & longtime friend, Gary Riviera to treasure his memory.

Arrangements for Daniel have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
