David Ernest Borgacz, age 76 of Warren, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. David was born February 13, 1942 in Lenox Township, son of the late Alexander and the late Marion (nee Janeczko) Borgacz.

The bedroom community of Roseville held many wonderful memories for David as he was growing up. Along with the myriad events and experiences that molded his childhood and teenage years, attending Sacred Heart High School was one of the highlights. Like many of our stories, our high school years brought us some of the most special friendships we've known in life,…as was the case for David. But there was one very special connection he made that would change his life forever when he met the girl who would sweep him off his feet, the beautiful Miss Elizabeth Margaret Priemer, who became known more affectionately as "Betty." Friendship would turn to love, and that love continued to blossom as it ushered them both to their glorious wedding day on May 30, 1964 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville. Together, in the eyes of family and friends alike, David & Betty shared their vows of marriage to become husband & wife and went on to enjoy 54 wonderful years as Mr. & Mrs. David Borgacz.

David's career life was a story that encompassed over 30 years of loyal and dedicated service to the automotive giant, the Ford Motor Company. Working as a tooling engineer, David's job entailed extreme precision and called upon the manufacturing expertise that lied within towards the creation and implementation of exemplary products. He took his work seriously and poured the best parts of his knowledge and wisdom into his career until finally accepting his well deserved retirement.

When he managed to find a little "me time," David was known for his love of golf and the pleasure he found in navigating the links and taming the course. Always in search of that elusive "Hole-in-One," David simply enjoyed the bliss and contentment of a sunny day on the links with a friend or loved one while swingin' the irons. Another of David's favorite pastimes was also enjoyed in the outdoors through the sport of deer hunting. Like many Michiganders in the Fall, David loved heading to the woods in search of that prize-winning buck,…and also sharing in the camaraderie of his fellow hunting buddies. Like a special fraternity that convenes for a short span each year, David always looked forward to the iconic hunting season and the ensuing memories that were created in the process.

Yet of all that David looked forward to and anticipated with extreme elation, there's little that could match the joy and pleasures experienced at the Annual Family Reunion which was held in Oscoda, Michigan. Every July, in the heart of summer fun, the "Borgacz Bunch" gathered together to swap stories, play some games, and put on the food bag reunion style,…and David could never get enough of the fun and life-enhancing moments shared amidst his loved ones. David was all about "family," keeping the home fires burning, and enjoying the moments in the ties that bind. Each had their own special place in his heart, especially his precious cherubs, the grandchildren.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, David leaves behind a warm and wonderful legacy of love to be remembered with each reflection shared. He touched a multitude of hearts and souls along the way, and imparted the best parts of his love and faith to those he was blessed to know. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.

David was the loving husband of Elizabeth M. "Betty". Beloved father of Kenneth (Julie) Borgacz and Daniel (Carolyn Reznick) Borgacz. Dear brother of Barbara (Ben) Felczak, Rosemary (Ben) Ancona, the late Sister Louise Borgacz, and the late Daniel Edward Borgacz. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Natalie, Beau and Eric.

Visitation for David will be held Sunday, August 5th from 3-9 pm. A 4:00 pm Rosary Service will be officiated by the ladies of the ACWC, immediately followed by a Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.).

He will lie in state on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road in Warren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, or a Veteran's Charity of your choice.

Please share memories at David's guestbook above.
