Dawn Marie Orjada, age 56, died Friday, April 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Dawn was born March 1, 1962 in Detroit, daughter of Gerald John Adam and Marlene Alexia (nee: Baska) Adam.

Dawn was raised in East Detroit and graduated from East Detroit High School, a proud member of the Class of 1980. Following high school, Dawn worked as a dental hygienist until her children were born. Dawn understood the value of being a "stay at home" mom to her sons. Over the years she was always there for her boys at their many sporting events, including wrestling matches and football games.

Once Dawn's sons were older, she returned to the workforce where she obtained a position with the Donald K. Pierce and Company Insurance firm in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She truly enjoyed her job and the many friends she made at work.

Away from work Dawn's life revolved around her family and grandchildren. Any opportunity she had she would share with her grandchildren. She felt children should be cared for by family and not daycare facilities. She was a passionate mom, grandmother, aunt, and protector of her family. Dawn's quiet pleasures in life were to shop, tend to her home and flowers, or just sit on her deck and enjoy the scenery. She took great enjoyment in having her nails done with her nieces, and also spending time watching her favorite TV shows, including Judge Judy and Law & Order.

Dawn was the loving wife of Glenn R. Orjada, and the cherished mother of Steven (Angela) Orjada and Jeffrey (Ashleigh) Orjada. She is also the beloved daughter of Gerald J. and Marlene A. Adam. Dawn was the dearest sister of Gerald John (Lori) Adam Jr. and Nancy (Michael Jennings) Adam. Dawn was the devoted grandmother of Giuliana, Aria, and special aunt of Brandi Pica, Melissa (Carl) Ewart, Nicole Adam, Jamie (Horea Calimente) Adam, and great aunt of Emmett, Elliott, Olivia and Carl.

Visitation for Dawn will be held Monday, April 16th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road) in Warren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
