Army Emblem

Donald Leroy Kish, age 72 of Warren, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at home. He was born July 1, 1945 in Detroit, son of the late James E. and the late Goldie I. (nee: Bywaters) Kish.

With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Donald for his service to our country amidst the Vietnam War era. As a soldier in the U.S. Army, he served with pride until receiving his honorable discharge on December 13, 1971. For the call to duty he answered and the sacrifices made, we honor Donald's service and extend our posthumous gratitude for wearing the uniform and faithfully representing America.

When Donald wasn't working, one of his favorite pastimes was enjoyed down at the Ol' Fishin' Hole. He was an avid angler who always found great pleasure in casting out his line, then just sittin' back and peacefully waiting for that bobber to stir the moment. Forever in search of that elusive "Big One,"…there was simple joy to be found in merely kickin' back and letting the current and the bait do their thing, then finessing that fish out of the water with style! Donald was also known for his penchant in playing the Lotto. Buying a ticket was so much more for Donald than merely playing a game,… it was calling on "Hope" to make a difference.

Donald was the beloved son of the late James and Goldie Kish. Dear brother of Richard (Kayoko) Kish, Christine (Ron) Leach, and Dennis (Vicky) Kish. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren.

Please share memories of Donald at his guest book above.
