Edward Bernard Birch, age 84, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Windemere Park Assisted Living in Warren. He was born March 21, 1932 in Detroit, son of the late Edward and the late Mary Ann (nee: Boran) Birch.

Edward was the beloved husband of Vincentia for 58 years. Dearest father of Mary Josephine (Jim) Rizza, Edward Joseph (Aundrea), Salvatore Vincent (MariBeth), Paul Anthony (Margaret) and Teresa Catherine (Dominic) Bommarito. Loving grandfather of Rebecca (Ryan) Smith, Edward Jacob Birch, Vincent Armstrong Birch, Ashley Bommarito, Lauren Laidlaw, Megan Laidlaw, Grace (Nick) Irle, Carl Rizza, and great-grandfather of Necie and Lydia.

With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Edward for his service to our country in the United States Coast Guard, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Visitation for Edward will be held Friday, December 30th from 3 - 9 pm, with a 6 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road) in Warren. He will lie In state on Saturday, December 31st from 12:30 pm until the time of his Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm at St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church in Warren.
