Heart Emblem

Frances Ann Wilson, age 84 of Warren, died Monday, May 6, 2019 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 22, 1935 in Detroit, daughter of the late Frank and the late Anna (nee: Gorka) Puzio.

A devoted and consummate homemaker and Mom, Frances poured the best parts of her tender-loving-care into the nurturing of her family and tending to their needs,…and she did it all with the love and compassion of a saint. And like many women of her era, Frances knew how to care for her family's dietary needs and could prepare a meal fit for a king. She loved to cook and often worked some incredible magic in the kitchen with the simple provisions of a work space, her appliances, and the skill set of a culinary chef. Whether she was preparing a meal for two or an army, the same maternal instincts would always kick in and guide her through the preparation process,…with the end result being a tasty & delicious meal to savor and enjoy.

When she was able to find some "me time" amidst her homemaking chores, Frances was a willing and able participant at the local casinos as she took her best shot in giving Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money. She knew how to give the one-armed bandits the exercise they needed,…and on occasion, came away a winner. As for a little game of chance in the comforts of home, Frances loved playing card games and joining with family and friends in the camaraderie and friendly competition that always seemed to ensue.

And then there was her other passion, getting lost in the pages of a good book. Frances was an avid reader who found great enjoyment and sweet release in curling up with a good novel and feeding her mind. They say reading keeps the mind sharp, and Frances truly possessed a keen mind. Frances' appetite for reading kept her current in the events and happenings in the world around her, and she loved staying informed.

Speaking of reading,…of all the escapes that Frances was able to secure to enjoy her literary hunger, none were more inviting than a sit on the beach at her vacation home up north at Saddlebag Lake in Evart, Michigan. Nestled in the heart of The Mitten's lower peninsula, Evart provided the perfect backdrop for a great deal of fun and scenic delights,…and a memorable read on the beach.

Yet of all the joys and pleasures Frances knew, the love and devotion she held for her children and grandchildren was matchless. They were truly the light of her life and the wind beneath her wings. They gave a special meaning to this thing called life, and Frances coveted each and every moment spent in their company. The memories they made together were both lasting and precious, and were the stuff of dreams. God blessed both she and they immeasurably,…and Frances leaves behind a legacy of love for them all to cherish with each reflection shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.

Frances was the beloved wife of Ronald. Dearest mother of Karen (Tom) Boyda, Michael, David, Lori (Michael) Olsey, Paul, the late Ronald F. Wilson, and the late Brian A. Wilson. She is also survived by several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Frances will be held Friday, May 10th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a 1:30 pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Her Committal Service & Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
