Franciszek Joseph Sacha, "Frank", age 93, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Frank was born June 13, 1924 in Doly, Poland, son of the late Tomasz Sacha and the late Rosalis (nee: Kural) Sacha.

Frank was raised on the family farm and later was sent to a working farm during the German occupation. He returned to his family farm and later, following his service in the Polish Army, came to the United States sponsored by his brother living in Hamtramck.

Frank worked various jobs in the Detroit area as a young Polish immigrant. It was while living with his brother that his met his future wife, Therese. The couple married September 15, 1951 at Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church and soon began a life and family together. The young family first settled in Detroit and later moved to the burgeoning community of Warren.

Frank's career path had him finding permanent employment within Chrysler Motors Mt. Elliott Plant. He worked in various areas of fabrication and was eventually relocated to the Van Wert Plant in Indiana which led to his ultimate retirement.

Frank was never a person to sit idly by. He was truly a handyman who could fix, build and repair just about anything. He helped so many people including his family members do odd jobs or repairs on their own projects. Also, Frank was known for his "Green Thumb". He could create beautiful flowers including his cherished roses and also grow vegetables and fruits in his garden. Frank's property around his home was to be envied, he had a gift for making all his fruit trees flourish.

When Frank was not working, he had a passion for being surrounded by family and friends. No one ever left Frank's house hungry... you were always greeted with a drink and something to eat. Frank and his family had many wonderful evenings together eating and drinking, followed by some fun card playing, usually Pinochle or Euchre. He also enjoyed his summertime getaways to his daughter's cottage.

Frank was the beloved husband of Therese Sacha and was the dear father of Anne Marie (Martin) Pielach and Larry (Margie) Sacha. He was also the loving grandfather of Jessica, Brian, Elizabeth (Joe), and great-grandfather of Isabella and Sophia.

Visitation for Frank will be held Monday, January 22nd from 3-9 pm, with an evening Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.

Frank will lie in state on Tuesday from 9:00 am, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. Nick Zukowski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 4440 Russell St, Detroit, MI 48207. Or online at
