Janice Mare Frazher, age 80 of Warren, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. Janice was born October 24, 1936 in Hamtramck, daughter of the late Frank and the late Mary (nee: Potrykus) Hoinacki.

A wonderful Mom and Keeper of the Household, Janice also extended herself outside of the home as a sales clerk in the retail industry. With her warm smile and attention to customer service, Janice made quite an impact on the countless people she came into contact with in the operation of her duties. But like most Mom's and caretaker's, making sure all is well within the walls of home and the hearts that reside therein was a responsibility Janice took to heart and managed with grace and diligence.

When she was able to find a little time to infuse a bit of balance amidst all that hard work, Janice was known for her love of travel. Whether it was jetting out west to visit her sister in Las Vegas,…hopping aboard a cruise liner for a little fun at sea,…or simply getting in the car and heading north to enjoy some of Michigan's backwoods splendor, she truly was a fan of chewing up the scenery and making wonderful memories wherever her mode of travel took her.

Another mode of travel of which she could never get enough was enjoyed aboard a different kind of boat,…one of the many that she and husband Allan owned throughout the years. Being residents of the Great Lakes State, these two sea farer's relished each and every moment they were able to fire up the boat and weigh anchor for some fun and freedom on the waters surrounding the Mitten. And often, being on the water would afforded her another favorite pastime, fishing. Always in search of that "Big One," Janice simply loved the challenge of casting her line out there and fighting whatever chose to tug on it.

Along with that warm and friendly countenance Janice took to work each day, she also shared the same with the various associations in which she participated over the years. There was something special and genuine for her in being a part of a familiar group and sharing unique commonalities, just as she did through her membership with the local Elks Lodge. Another group she proudly joined was the infamous "Red Hat Society,"…a group of ladies that provided Janice hours of fun and a plethora of stories and memories that filled her life with joy and laughter.

Yet there's no mistaking the fact that her most precious and sought after fun and favorite things to do involved those endearing moments in the company of her family and friends. One can always count the things that bring joy to life, but the phrase has often been coined, "the greatest joys in life have nothing to do with things." In her own way, Janice knew that truth and availed herself, often, with unselfish abandon and loving care. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and leaves behind her own unique legacy of love to be remembered and embraced with each reflection shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.

Janice was the beloved wife of Allan Frazher Jr. Dear mother of Victoria, Julie, and the late Allan Frazher III. Loving grandmother of seven grandsons, two great-grandsons. and two great-granddaughters.

Visitation for Janice will be held on Sunday, October 8th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren.

Janice will lie in state on Monday, October 9th from 10:00 am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 E. 12 Mile Road in Warren. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
