Jeffrey Glenn Harris, age 55 of Warren, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at home. He was born October 13, 1961 in Odessa, Texas, son of James Robert Harris and the late Gloria Ann Harris.

Originally from the state of Texas, Jeffrey roots ran deep in the lone star state and were never "entirely" uprooted throughout his 25 plus years here in Michigan. Therein, it was no surprise when he made known that he was preparing to move back to his home-state and begin watering those old roots again. Yet just as the old adage states,…sometimes the best laid plans......and so on. Life began infusing one twist after another on Jeffrey, and now we're having to bid him farewell. But even though he's not headed off to a state where everything is BIG,…he is headed to a "state of being" that is the BIGGEST and most beautiful place of all.

Though Jeffrey's career path eventually led him to the realm of driving, those who knew him well will be able to attest to the fact that his favorite and most rewarding work was when he served as a Lifeguard at a local pool. From the casual & weather-friendly environment, to the feeling of caring for the lives of many under his watch, to the awesome dress code and getting the chance to ogle a nice bikini every now and then,…there's no mystery why nor how Jeffrey grew quite fond of his lifeguard duties, and the many wonderful memories that ensued.

Another passion of Jeffrey's was found in four of his most cherished friends and housemates, his adoring cats. These feline fancies came into his life, stole his heart, and that love had never left. The relationship they shared was special and endearing, and Jeffrey's life was truly made fuller through their presence and affection.

Yet for as much as he treasured the memories of being a lifeguard, or the joy of embracing his precious kitties, there was nothing that came even remotely close to the love he held for his bride and soul mate, Pietrina,…known more affectionately to him as "Trina." The two lovebirds shared a marriage made in Heaven,…they completed each other,…but were sadly separated when Trina died on November 8, 2016. Jeffrey has missed her terribly, especially with her being by his side on the many drives they shared together. He was truly broken without his Trina. But Jeffrey's brokenness has been mended as he is now reunited with Trina,…and I'll bet the next drive they take together is going to be in one, awesome set of wheels.

Jeffrey was the beloved husband of the late Pietrina "Trina" who preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 2016. He was the dear son of James Robert (Sylvia) Harris, and the late Gloria Ann Harris. Cherished brother of James (Janice) Harris, Cindy Harris, Judith Sue Harris, John Leland Harris, and Janet Ruth Harding. Cherished brother-in-law of Grace Badgley, Mariann (Stephen) Medvik, Concetta (Michael) Buslepp, Catherine (Jesse) Gardner, Jo Badgley, Angela (Mathew) Rinkes and William (Colleen) Badgley. Jeffrey was also a special uncle to Kaylee Prevost.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road) in Warren.
