Linda Ann Marie Novinski, age 56 of Center Line, died Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Ascension St. John Hospital, Warren Campus. She was born July 16, 1962 in Detroit, daughter of the late John Alexander and the late Dorothy Jean (nee: Blair) Opalewski.

Linda was raised in Warren and was a proud graduate of Cousino High School's Class of 1980. Ultimately, as life took its course, she would meet and fall in love with a dashing young gentleman by the name of John Novinski. Their friendship would turn into a loving relationship that culminated in the lovebirds sharing their vows of marriage and beginning their lives together as husband & wife. These newlyweds soon became parents as they welcomed two beautiful girls into their family, Amber and Alecia.

Along with her responsibilities as homemaker and Mom, Linda also worked outside of the house as a healthcare assistant at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. Equipped with her own brand of compassion, and a Florence Nightengale approach of caring, Linda did her utmost to assure that her patients were well attended to and given the best that she could possibly extend.

When all of her duties and obligations were met, Linda enjoyed some favorite pastimes,…the most prevalent being her love of the water and Lake St. Clair. She and her husband John along with the kids enjoyed boating on Lake St. Clair...the fun really intensified when the Opalewski sisters met up out on the water with other friends to have fun.

Linda's other pleasures were pretty much wrapped up in the blessings of family and the supreme joys she experienced each moment she spent in their company. "Family" meant the world to Linda, especially when it came to her girls. Yet along with extending herself toward her daughters, Linda's servant's heart was also poured out toward her mother,…the finest caretaker her mother could have had. Between home and Autumn Woods, Linda dedication to caring for others touched a multitude of hearts and souls, and leaves an memorable impact on the countless lives that were entrusted to her care. Though she leaves our presence far too soon, it is not without imparting the best of herself while she was here. She will be missed immensely.

Linda was the beloved wife of John Novinski, dearest mother of Amber Novinski and Alecia Novinski, and loving grandmother of Little Robbie. Dear sister of Daniel (Phuong) Opalewski, Diane (Leon) Verschueren, Mary (Steven) Bleich, Kathleen (James) Burrett, Thomas (Julie) Opalewski, and the late James Opalewski.

Visitation for Linda will be held Tuesday, April 16th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 mile) in Warren. Linda will lie in state on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Faustina Catholic Church in Warren, (formerly St. Edmund).

Please share memories of Linda at her guest book above.
