Louis Joseph Sassin, age 52, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at his home in Warren. Louis was born March 20, 1967 in Warren, son of Sonia (nee: Bertolini) Sassin, and the late Louis John Sassin.

Born and raised in Warren, Louis was a proud graduate of Warren Woods Tower High School,…the Class of '85. From there, he would ultimately choose a career in trucking and become one of the countless thousands of transporters who keep America humming along. When he wasn't on the road, Louis found great satisfaction in his "work hobby" of tinkering on cars. Possessing an unofficial license as a "Mr. Goodwrench," he was quite knowledgeable and adept on most things automotive, and simply enjoyed getting his hands dirty as he restored cars to health.

As for other pastimes that captured his attention, Louis was known for his moments of "dabbling in the arts" through his abilities in drawing. Deep within this truck driver / auto restorer existed a creative side that took its form in the subjects he chose to draw, either up close & personal or through visions that filled his mind. In those idle moments when his hand embraced a writing implement, it wasn't long before one of Louis' artistic creations was right there before you,…and it was always something amazing. Louis was also known for his competitive side which was witnessed each time he manned the handles on a foosball table. With his incredible hand-to-eye coordination & quickness, he made for quite the formidable player,…and quite often, the Victor.

Yet of all the joys and pleasures Louis knew, none were more precious and fulfilling than those shared with his family and friends. The loved ones in his life meant the world to him, and together they created some of the most meaningful and lasting memories made. Though he leaves our presence far too soon, it certainly isn't without imparting the best of himself to the lives of all who were blessed to know him. A loving son, brother, uncle and friend, Louis touched a multitude of hearts and souls in his journey this side of Heaven, may he now rest peacefully,…safe in the arms of God.

Louis was the beloved son of Sonia and the late Louis Sassin, dearest brother of Matthew Sassin, Michael Sassin, and Gregory (Donna) Sassin, and the loving uncle of eight nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation for Louis will be held Sunday, April 28th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, with his Memorial Service to begin at 2:30 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.

Please share memories of Louis at his guest book above.
