Margaret Elizabeth Johnson age 75, died Monday, November 27, 2017, at St. John Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Margaret was born July 4, 1942, in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Walter St. John and the late Marie (nee: Hunter) St. John.

Margaret was raised on the eastside of Detroit, where her family was members of Assumption Grotto Catholic Church. Margaret would later attend and graduate from Dominican Catholic High School in Detroit.

Following high school, Margaret worked for a short time with the insurance industry before marrying and starting a family. She continued to live on Detroit's eastside where she would raise her children in a loving and nurturing household surrounded by wonderful neighbors. Margaret loved cooking, entertaining, and hosting parties at her home. She cherished her time surrounded by her grandchildren and family.

Margaret was the beloved mother of Todd (Trish) Johnson, Kimberly Zynda, and Michelle Johnson (Bruce Thacker). She was the cherished grandmother of Beth Johnson, Caroline Johnson, Emily Zynda, and Jacob Zynda. Margaret is further survived by her siblings; Mary Lou Gonda, Helen Perkowski, and Eileen St. John. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and siblings, James St. John, Nancy St. John, Donna Suede, and Jane Kenes.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren.
