Mark Louis DeBaeke, age 55 of Fraser, died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at home. He was born April 3, 1962 in Grosse Pointe, son of the late William Roger and the late Therese Gerard (nee: Seymour) DeBaeke.

With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Mark for his service to our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Serving from April 1983 to April 1987, Mark ultimately attained the rank of Corporal and was trained in his duties as a Small Arms Repair Specialist. Highly decorated for his good conduct, meritorious achievements, and the time he spent at sea, Mark was quite proud of the distinguished honor bestowed upon him as an expert marksman. For answering the call of his patriotism, and his willingness to stand in harm's way for the sake of freedom, we honor Mark's service and extend our posthumous gratitude for the sacrifices made in support of our great country,…a land we enjoy because of men like Mark.

Mark was the dearest father of Brittney and Brandon, and loving brother of Mary (Richard) Bolon, Lucie Hurst, Kathleen (Glenn) Gartling and Michelle Haggart. Mark is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Mass for Mark will be held Tuesday, March 20th at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. The Mass will begin at 9:30 am, with the family welcoming guests for a Memorial Gathering from 9:00 am until the time of Mass.

Please share memories at Mark's guest book above.
