Patricia Ann Kerr, age 70, died Friday, November 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Patricia was born September 11, 1946 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Alfred Szczesniak and the late Mary (nee: Stopczynski) Szczesniak.

Patricia was raised in Detroit and graduated from Osborne High School on Detroit's eastside. Following high school she worked for Chrysler Motors, along with other various employers, before ultimately attaining a position as a grocery cashier for Meijer's, and later Krogers. Patricia would eventually retire from the Kroger Grocery chain.

Patricia lived and raised her daughters in Roseville and Warren. She was raised Catholic and later renewed her Christian Faith at the Woods Church in Warren. When she was not working or tending to her children, Patricia loved to shop or spend time at home watching the Days of our Lives soap opera. She was truly the consummate mother and homemaker, making sure her children were well cared for. She was also the supportive Mom who enjoyed volunteering and attending their school functions. She worked in the children's school as a lunch mom monitor, and also dedicated her time with the PTA.

Patricia's world revolved around her family and as her daughter became mother's, Patricia focus shifted to her grandchildren. After her husband Marvin died, Patricia moved into her daughter, Candace's home in Warren. Patricia loved to read and solve crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed bowling when she could and getting out of the house to play bingo or visit a casino. A quick get-a-way often found her at the local store trying her luck with the Lotto scratch off tickets.

Patricia Ann Kerr was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Kerr, Jr. and she was the loving mother of Nikki (Patrick) Earabino, Lisa Biernacki, Angela (Ed) Brooks, and Candice (Sean) Howland. Patricia was the dear sister of Alfred Szczesniak and cherished grandmother of Christopher (Melissa) Rogers, LeeAnn (Patrick) Vanderven, Anthony (Alyssa) Earabino, Emeral Biernacki, Talan Biernacki, Kamren Howland, Khloe Howland, and Baby Callie Howland. She was the great-grandmother of Kaiden Earabino and Landyn Rogers. Also surviving Patricia are many nieces, nephews, loving friends, and her pets... Skeeter, Finn, Mystery, and JoJo. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, husband, nephew Allen Szczesniak, and granddaughter Zoe Howland.

Visitation for Mrs. Kerr will be held Wednesday, November 30th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren. Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Funeral Home.
