Patricia Furnari, age 85, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Patricia was born May 23, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late John Berdys and the late Martha (nee: Klawekoski) Berdys.

Patricia was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Cyril Catholic High School. Following her schooling, Patricia found employment within Michigan Bell where she worked as a telephone operator and later rising to the position of Supervisor before retiring after more than 35 years of faithful service.

Patricia married the love of her life, Salvatore "Sam" Furnari...the two first settled in Detroit and eventually migrated north to St. Clair Shores. Even though Patricia had no children of her own, she had the heart of a caregiver. She would care for her mother and later for her husband, and also became a second mother to her three nieces and nephew.

When Patricia and her husband were not working they loved the times spent on their boat, or simply just being near the water. Patricia and Sam were members of the Jefferson Beach Yacht Club which included her time serving as the Commodore's wife. Patricia also loved traveling and visiting Las Vegas to try her hand at Ol' Lady Luck. In her younger years, Patricia enjoyed one of her favorite hobbies of crafting. She possessed the eye of an artist and was instilled with a creative side that took its form in many types and styles of crafting.

Patricia became the center of her family after her mother passed away. She consistently held concern for everyone's well being and was the consummate cheerleader for all her family members successes.

Patricia Furnari was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore "Sam" Furnari, and the dear sister of Thomas (Bev) Berdys and Larry (Gloria) Blood. She was the loving aunt of Chris Berdys, Jill (Nick) Billardello, Theresa Estep, and Catherine (Brian) Berg. Mrs. Furnari is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Furnari will be held Friday, December 30th from 3-9 pm, with a 7pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Mrs. Furnari will lie in state on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. Ronald DeHondt. Entombment will follow the Funeral Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan..
