Pauline Abramski, age 88 of Warren, Michigan, died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Ascension St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan. Pauline was born September 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Angelo and the late Catherine (nee: Crusiano) Peters.

Pauline grew up on the west side of Detroit where she was raised in an Italian Catholic family. She would later marry, at age 17, the love of her life, Richard Abramski, a marriage they shared together for more than 68 years.

Pauline and Richard made a home in Warren, Michigan where the couple raised three children. Pauline was a homemaker caring for her husband, the children, and keeping her home intact. She had not learned to drive a car until the age of 38, yet always seemed to manage with her daily chores and activities. She and her family were faithful members of St. Edmund Catholic Church in Warren. After her children were older, Pauline rejoined the workforce where she was employed in retail at Arlan's Department Store.

Pauline was a woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was somewhat of a homebody, however she and her husband did enjoy traveling and spending time at their cabin near Cadillac, Michigan, and also at Lake Tahoe, Nevada where she learned to drive a snowmobile.

When Pauline was not working or caring for her family, she enjoyed her quiet time at home with her dog, Lady, an American Eskimo dog. She also relished her daily afternoon tea, or perhaps a bit of chocolate or ice cream to treat herself. Further pleasures included playing pinochle with family and friends, watching the Detroit Tigers play, crocheting, reading, or just watching all the celebrity gossip shows. She will be forever be remembered as a kind and caring mother.

Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Richard Abramski, and the dear mother of Cathy (Dennis) Jannetta, Paula (Steve) Watripont, and Richard (Jane) Abramski. She was the loving grandmother of Kimberly (Claudio) Capoccia, Sherry (Greg) Scofield, Dennis Jr. (Christa) Jannetta, Kristie (Jay) Dierig, Jeff (Heather) Aiuto, Dena (Joe) Daniel, Rich Abramski, and Amber Watripont. Pauline was the sister of Michael (Barbara) Pezzetti, the late Mary Suminski, the late Theresa Kijorski, and the late Joe Peters. Further survivors include her many great-grandchildren, family members, and dear friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Abramski will be held Monday January 21st from 4-9 pm, with a 6 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.

Mrs. Abramski will lie in state on Tuesday from 10:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Joseph Gembala. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at 1:00 pm on Monday January 28, 2019.
