Radomir "Savov" Djurovic, age 86 of Warren, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was the beloved son of the late Savo and the late Ljubica (nee; Djokic) Djurovic.

Radomir was born May 14, 1930 in Danilovgrad, Montenegro. After a couple of months, he and his parents moved to Beograd where he grew up in the city until his mid 30's. He loved his beloved Beograd (a true city dweller) and knew every street, every corner, and many of the shop keepers. To his friends he was known as loyal, kind and caring to the end.

He married his wife Ana and they had their first child in Beograd, a beautiful son named Boban (Robert). He then made the decision to emigrate to America and start a new life, but first he moved to Paris where he worked as a master mechanic. In Paris, he then had his second child, a daughter, Romana. Five years later, with his wife and two children in tow, the family moved to Detroit, Michigan. Radomir and his young family were sponsored by his aunt and uncle, Milosava and Joko Chupick. A short while later his first cousin Charles graciously took the family in. In Detroit, Radomir worked as a mechanic, again in a French speaking private mechanic's shop because of his fluency in French. After about a year, driving to work on a Vespa in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, he saved enough money to buy his first house in America. His family grew once again when he welcomed his youngest daughter, Sonja into the world. He then worked as a master mechanic at General Motors and built his life in the suburbs of Detroit.

Radomir is survived by his beloved wife, Ana (nee: Vukelic) Djurovic. He also leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memory; son, Boban (Paula) Djurovic, daughters; Romana Djurovic, and Sonja (Gino) Buffa, and his grandson; Jonathan. He leaves brother-in-law, Milan Vukelic; sister-in-law, Dusanka Vukelic; niece, Ankica Vukelic, and nephew, Mirko Vukelic. He was preceded in death by sister's Milka and Zagorka Djurovic, and brother, Dusan Djurovic.

Radomir is also survived by special & longtime friends of the family; Sima Birach, Jim McBride, and Pastor Eddie Stingley.

Visitation for Radomir will be held Sunday, January 29th from 3 - 9 PM, with a 7:00 pm Panikhida Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common ( 12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren.

Mr. Djurovic will lie in state on Monday, January 30th from 10:00 am until time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 am at St.. Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Church, 4575 Outer Drive E. in Detroit.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
