Ralph Charles Morrison, age 89, died Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Rose Senior Living facility in Clinton Township, Michigan. Ralph was born November 12, 1929 in Denver, Colorado, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Robert Morrison.

Ralph was born and raised in Denver and, shortly after graduating high school, married Patricia Mae Phenix. Ralph was a very intelligent person who possessed a mechanical engineering mind.

Ralph was forever intrigued with automobiles, along with their mechanical attributes, which inevitably led him to a career associated with autos. Ralph first worked for automobile dealerships in Denver, eventually becoming the parts manager. Later he would find positions with Chevrolet and eventually General Motors. Ralph worked for over 40 years within the General Motors Corporation attaining many high-level positions revolving around product quality and product recalls. During his career, Ralph's knowledge and expertise were highly sought after in testifying before Congress on issues related to product recalls.

Ralph and his wife lived in many parts of the United States, however the couple would eventually settle in Sterling Heights, Michigan where they've made their home since 1966. Living in Michigan kept Ralph close to the General Motors Headquarters in Detroit, along with the GM Technical Center in Warren.

Ralph's entire life revolved around the automotive industry,...even in retirement he returned to the workforce selling cars for a GM dealership in Oklahoma. In addition to all his hard work, Ralph was a dedicated father and family man who also volunteered his time as a board member for an orphanage in Oakland County and also supported the Salvation Army.

Ralph was the beloved husband of Patricia Morrison, and dear father of Michael (Colleen) Morrison, Pat (Irene) Morrison, Pamela (Alex) Mako, Mark (Kim) Morrison, and Jeff (Amy) Morrison. Ralph was also the dear brother of Marlyn (Alice) Morrison, Bernie Clesi, and Rita (Dave) Holtbeck. He was predeceased by his four other siblings, and is further survived by 13 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, April 29th at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. The family will receive guests from 9:00 am until time of the Funeral Liturgy at 9:30 am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. Nick Zukowski.

Immediately following Mass, the family cordially invites you to join them for a luncheon being held in Ralph's honor at the American-Polish Century Club, located at 33204 Maple Lane in Sterling Heights. (Just north of 14 Mile & Hoover, and across the street from Maple Lanes Golf Course.)

Following the luncheon, Ralph's Committal Service & Inurnment will take place at 1:15 pm at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road in Clinton Township, Michigan.
