Robert Ray Rudy II, age 59, died Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born April 10, 1957 in Detroit, son of Robert and Marion (nee: Redmon) Rudy. A former resident of Warren for many years, Robert had made his way up north where he settled in the quiet community of Oscoda. He was blessed to enjoy 3 wonderful years in some of Michigan's most beautiful surroundings where he could be more free and unencumbered.

Following his high school graduation, Robert's work experiences would come to incorporate many of his natural talents in working on houses and other various structures. At times it included his carpentry skills, other times it found him assisting his fellow roofing buddies, but always the end result being his expertise in Home Improvement. Robert was a hard worker and took great pride in a job-well-done,…which, most always, meant for a happy and satisfied customer. And that was just like Robert,…seeking to bring happiness into the lives of those with whom paths he crossed.
When Robert wasn't on the job, those "hard work ethics" followed him home and often found him pouring the best part of his tender-loving-care into his treasured garden. Possessing a green thumb like no other, Robert's gardening skills brought immeasurable splendor for all to enjoy from the countless hours he extended towards its beauty.

Robert was also known for his love of the water, and of the outdoors,…of which Michigan offered this nature lover a unique and breathtaking landscape. Having lived amidst the stresses and demands of the concrete jungle, Robert found his "nirvana" when he relocated to the heart of Michigan's "up north experience."
There's an old adage that says; "when you're eating, you're happy,"…and Robert certainly knew how to bring that kind of happy to others through his talents in cooking,…especially when he broke out his "Man Machine,"…Ye Old BBQ! Give him a piece of meat and a few minutes, and Robert could create a party in your mouth that would leave your taste buds screaming for joy and craving more.

Yet, without question, the joy and love he possessed for his canine companion, Tasha, reigned supreme above all else. A man and his dog always make for a special relationship, and such was the case with Robert & Tasha.

A warm and compassionate man that leaves us far too soon, Robert leaves a storehouse of wonderful memories for all to share who were fortunate and blessed to know him. He was passionate about so much, but never more than for the many loved ones who passed through his life. May the pain that his absence leaves be soothed by the "balm of love" that is sure to come with each reflection shared. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.

Beloved son of Robert Rudy, Marion Redmon, and his late stepmom, Sandra Rudy. Dearest brother of Rick Rudy and Terri Nardone; step-brother of Tracy & Trina (both of Pennsylvania); and half-brother of Judy, Dorrie, Bonnie, Vicky, Sam, Mark, Timmy, and Perry. Loving uncle of Sara, Joanna, Danielle, and Rechelle. And it just wouldn't be a complete list of those he loved and adored without the mention of his furry friend, "Tasha."

A Memorial Visitation for Robert will take place on Friday, February 17th from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm, with a 6:00 pm Memorial Service, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church located at 3700 Union Lake Road, Harrison Township, Michigan 48045. Officiating the service will be Pastor Robert Brannon.
