Teresa Mary Hengstebeck, age 82 of Warren, died Monday, April 30, 2018 at Atria Shorehaven Assisted Living in Sterling Heights. Teresa was born August 27, 1935 in Detroit, daughter of the late Frank and the late Bernice (nee: Racisz) Rogers.

Teresa was a homemaker and loved caring for her family and home. She was a loving wife to Jim, and their marriage of 59 years showed us all their devotion to each other. Some of her favorite pastimes were ceramics, gardening, golfing, playing cards and gambling.

She enjoyed traveling with Jim especially after his retirement. They had many happy years wintering in Arizona with family and friends.

Mom was a devout Catholic celebrating religious traditions throughout the years. She participated in many church functions and activities and embraced being part of the church community.

Teresa had a very happy life and loved caring for those around her. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.

Teresa was preceded in death by her husband James on October 27, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Julie (Mark) Mitman, Mary Fast, Karen (Robert) Kasprzyk, Jeanne (Radim) Michaels, and David Hengstebeck; her grandchildren: Christine, Nick, Lauren, Ryan, and Danielle, and her great-grandchildren: Catie and Zack. She is also survived by her three brothers: Edward (Nancy) Rogers, Michael (Marlene) Rogers, and Peter (Mary) Rogers. She was preceded in death by brother, John Rogers.

Visitation for Teresa will be held Friday, May 4th from 3-8 pm, with a 6:00 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren. She will lie in state on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church - St. Dorothy Campus in Warren, Michigan. Following Mass, the family would like to invite you to a funeral luncheon at the American Polish Cultural Center, 2975 E. Maple Road in Sterling Heights (located on the NW corner of 15 Mile Rd. & Dequindre).

Teresa will be buried, joining her husband, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at 11:45 am on Monday, May 7th, 2018.
