Thomas M. Panos, age 48, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his home in Warren, Michigan surrounded by his family. Thomas was born December 12, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Paristara (nee: Fotos) Panos and the late Miltiades Panos.

Thomas lived as a young boy first in Chicago and later, at the age of 7, the family moved to Detroit, Michigan. Thomas was raised in Detroit and graduated from Bishop Gallagher Catholic High School. Following high school, Thomas enrolled at Wayne State University where he studied electrical engineering. He continued his education to achieve a Master's Degree in electrical engineering.

Thomas worked while in college first for Sony, and following college at Sony, and later General Dynamics defense. His last job found him at the Chrysler Technical Center in Auburn Hills where he continued his work as an electrical engineer.

When Thomas was not working he was an avid sports fan and fitness bodybuilder. He enjoyed his time in the gym and the many friends he made while working out. He was always a happy person in whom others enjoyed his company. He will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Thomas was the beloved son of Paristara and the late Mitiades Panos. He was the dear brother of Penny (the late Thomas) Cafretsas, Steven Panos, and loving uncle of Thomas Cafretsas, Andrew (Kim) Cafretsas, and Christopher Cafretsas. He was the great uncle of Ashley, Alexis, Maximus, and is further survived by many loving family members and friends.

Visitation for Thomas will be held Sunday, September 23rd from 2-9 pm, with a 7,pm Trisagion Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren. Mr. Panos will lie in state on Monday, 9:30 am at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080, until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 am.
