Timothy Shawn Salter, "Tony," age 62, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at his home in Warren, Michigan. Tony was born September 27, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late George Salter and the late Emmogene (nee: Hines) Salter.

Tony was raised in Ohio where he graduated from Portsmouth High School. Following high school, Tony furthered his studies at Ohio State University and later moved on to Memphis State University. Tony would go on to graduate Memphis State University with a degree in journalism.

While on a Spring break vacation visiting Daytona, Florida, Tony realized where he would eventually want to live his life. The water and warm weather spoke to Tony's soul and following his graduation from college Tony moved south.

Once in Daytona, Tony founded Tombstone Motors, and later PHD Progressive Harley Diagnostics, and lastly Daytona Custom, all within the motorcycle industry. He had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was also a master mechanic. Tony had many skill sets from his journalism background, to his sales acumen, all the way to the mechanical side of motors. Tony and his wife raised their family in Florida along with cultivating their many businesses. As time marched forward, Tony was offered a job in Michigan with Wolverine Harley Davidson. While at Wolverine Tony held many positions including sales manager. His last and current job in Michigan was a return to journalism working for the Michigan Medical Marijuana Report.

Tony loved his wife and family and when he was not working enjoyed selling motorcycle memorabilia on eBay. Tony wishes were to be cremated and his ashes returned to Florida. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.

Tony was the beloved husband of Victoria Salter and the dear father of Shawn Salter, and Richard Salter (Amy). Further survivors include his grandchildren; Jade, Amber, Timothy,Victoria, and Caden. Tony is also survived by many cherished friends.
