William Milo Dodge, age 65, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. William was born June 28, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late William A. Dodge and the late Geraldine (nee: Sylvester) Dodge.

Bill was raised on the Ferndale/Hazel Park border growing up in Ferndale and graduating from Hazel Park Schools. Following high school he worked within the home maintenance and improvement business before his brother brought Bill into General Motors. Bill worked and retired from the General Motors Powertrain plant, formerly the Hydra-Matic plant in Warren. Bill was also a faithful and loyal member of the United Auto Workers, Local 909.

When Bill was not working, he surrounded himself with family. He cherished his time at the family farm in Gladwin, Michigan and later visiting his parents in LaFeria, Texas at their RV park. During his life with the children growing up, Bill took every chance to take his family on camping adventures either in Michigan or across the United States. Later in life Bill and Marie treasured their time spent at their cottage in St. Helen.

Bill was primarily a homebody who constantly tinkered, fixed, and putzed around the house. He loved to clean and detail his cars and trucks, and would help just about anyone who asked for his expertise cleaning their own vehicles. Occasionally, Bill would visit the casinos and then head home. Relaxing and quiet time for Bill involved watching old cowboy movies or taking drives with his cherished Boston Terrier, Chloe. After Bill's wife Marie died, Chloe became Bill's best friend and the two spent many hours together just hanging out or having Bill throw the ball to Chloe.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Marie Ann Dodge, and was the loving father of Amanda (Leonard) Zakoor, Stacy Dodge, David (Nicole) Dodge, David (Andrea) Siwicki, and the late Frankie Siwicki. He was also the devoted grandfather of Zachary Dodge Zakoor, Olivia Zakoor, Grayson Zakoor, Jessica Dodge, Briana Siwicki, Ryan McMillan, and brother of the late James (Nancy) Dodge, John (Janice) Dodge, Linda (Art) Jankowski, Harry (Sharon) Dodge, Donna Hooper, and Susan Dodge. Bill is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Dodge will be held on Thursday, July 20th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 10:00 am at the Funeral Home. Officiating the Funeral Service will be Pastor Jerry Weinzierl.

Please share memories of Bill at his memory book above.
