John Joseph Buczak Jr., age 44 a longtime resident of Macomb, Michigan died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. John was born August 28, 1965 in Buffalo, New York the son of Florence (nee: Rusin) and the late John Joseph Buczak. John was raised in Buffalo until middle school before moving to Michigan with his mother. John graduated from L'Anse Creuse North High School in 1983 and went on to college and trade school studying tool & die. John would work for over 20 years for KSI machine and engineering as a tool maker.
When John was not working his family was the center of his life he could be found playing or coaching one of his sons sports. John loved playing hockey as a child and as an adult, and even officiated the game as an adult. He coached his sons in hockey, baseball, and mentored his eldest son in the game of golf. When it wasnt sports John was found fishing with his boys or traveling with his family to Disney or Cedar Point. John loved the thrill of speed and roller coasters, and this excitement also extended to his cars and motorcycle.
Relaxation at home for John included watching University of Michigan sports with his wife and sons, and then cooking for the family. John loved to cook, however his cherished meal was Thanksgiving dinner and being able to carve the turkey for the whole family. His other favorite time was spent relaxing with his dog Hunter.
John is survived by his cherished wife of over 14 years, Beverly (nee: Fredal). He is the loving father of David DeDonatis, Chad Buczak, and Jack Buczak. He is the son of Florence (John) Monnen and the late John Buczak, and brother of Thomas, Stefanie, Patricia, and Susan. John was the dearest son-in-law of Francis, and the late Theresa Fredal. Also surviving are many loving family members. Visitation for John will be Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Rd). John will lie in state Saturday 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations in Johns name are appreciated to ALS of Michigan, Inc. / 24359 Northwestern Hwy., Suite 100 Southfield, MI 48075. Please share memories of John at his guest book.
